Drugs are chemically active substances which taken in excessive amounts than prescribed amounts make the person a drug addict. There are many types of drugs like cocaine, ganja, morphine, tabacco, opioids etc if drugs are taken in prescribed amounts they act as medicine whereas over limiting them may lead to drugs. Time’s have advanced and changed. Due to this advancement various types of drugs are easily available in the market. This is the biggest issue i.e availability of drugs at an younger age. This leads to addiction of our young and hardworking youth to drugs. There are further many causes that lead or encourage people to consume drugs. One cause is ‘ peer pressure ‘ and ‘excitement ‘. Some people are prescribed by their friends to give it a try and some have excitement to do it once in their life. This habit slowly becomes habitual and makes them addicts.

Moving further it gives an escape from reality. Some people believe that consuming drugs are an escape from reality and could lower tensions, fill heartbreaks and aviod sorrows. But drugs do not lift our mood they only ruin our health. After consuming drugs one feels over excited, the person moves onto a world of dilemma – their own dreams. Moreover they become unaware of their surroundings. Consuming drugs not only ruins health but also affects brain through retardation. All these factors lead them to deaths. In order to fight drugs abuse parents must play a crucial role. They need to set good example in front of their children. They need to keep a check on their children from time to time. The inner confidence of individuals must be great enough such that they are not influenced by others as well as can avoid per pressure from mates.
