The percentage of overweight children in western society has increased by almost 20% in the last ten years. Discuss the possible causes and effects of this disturbing trend and offer a solution.

Presently, obesity has become the worst nightmare and it deteriorates the growth among adolescents. This has become an alarming concern for western countries like USA, Canada and England etc. as the recent analysis found 20% surge in number, over the last decade. There are umpteen reasons for this problem and various remedies can be used effectively let us delve deeper in the topic.

At the outset, the advent of technology has reduced the human involvement in almost every sector. In spite of this the dependency on machines has increased tremendously. Moreover, due to the hectic schedule children have developed a routine full of stress and anxiety. Consequently they barely do any kind of physical exercise. This has led to obesity and another severe health issues. In addition to that, the consumption of pre-packaged and processed food among young children is another compelling reason for this concern. It lacks nutrients and is full of saturated fat. For instance, a recent research suggests that about 30% of the American population have vitamin deficiency as they are unable to fulfil if from their daily diet.

Conversely a handful of remedies can be used to overcome this problem. Furthermore parents can indulge their children in numerous physical activities like yoga, gym and meditation etc for a life full of energy. On the top of that, a balanced diet is essential for a healthy lifestyle. They should eat a nourishing meat which has all vitamins, healthy fats, carbs and other compulsory nutrients.

To sum up, even though the pressure of studies has increased considerably over the years among teenagers. However they should make an adjustment accordingly to manage their activities. Apart from this, parent should give more emphasis on the diet of their children.
